This reproduction of a Katzbalger sword has a hand forged blade from resilient C60 high carbon steel – a steel with properties similar to 1060 high carbon steel. The blade is broad, durable and designed for hard-hitting strikes closer to the tip. The sword is robustly mounted into a blued steel hilt with a tough peen over the pommel for a lasting construction.

The sword is paired with a companion scabbard of wood which is tightly overlaid in stitched, high quality genuine leather. The chape is of leather and the scabbard is finished with a pair of steel hanging rings.
