Five Lobe Viking Sword with Blunted Blade is a late Viking Age design, the pommel features the typical lobed design. The Type S pommel is dominated by a large central lobe, which is flanked by several smaller lobes. The pommel is a two piece construction. It comes with a wood-core scabbard covered in dark brown leather and affixed with a wooden suspension loop held in place with brown leather straps.
It might be possible to classify this type as a version of the Petersen Type S hilt that show some influence from Anglo-Saxon swords with curved guards.
